ScanSnap takes the complexity and confusion out of scanning. You can obtain professional results without any special training or scanning experience.

Simply put the pages into the automatic feeder and ScanSnap will:

- Scan both sides of the page
- Detect the size of the page
- Detect colour, grayscale or black&white
- Detect blank pages
- Detect page orientation
- Straighten skewed images
- Create a PDF or JPEG file

All at the speed of 40 images per minute (20 double sided pages).

ScanSnap S1500M also includes a complete suite of business software to keep your office organized.

ScanSnap Manager is the special driver that controls ScanSnap and provides its ease of use. It provides the flexibility to automate the scanning process while maintaining the ability to customize it as required. TWAIN / ISIS is not supported.
ABBYY FineReader for ScanSnap Mac Edition allows one touch scanning to editable text or Excel documents.

A full and upgradeable version of Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional is included with the S1500M providing the ability to edit, annotate or password protect your PDF files. I.R.I.S. Cardiris for ScanSnap can automatically extract the contact information from business cards and direct it to popular contact management software such as Address Book, AppleWorks, Entourage, and Now Contact.

Windows drivers now included. The ScanSnap S1500M now includes ScanSnap Manager for Windows providing basic ScanSnap functionality in a Windows environmnent.
